1. Introduction
Happs (“Happs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an event discovery and digital ticketing platform based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the Happs website and related services.
By using Happs, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

We collect information in the following categories, depending on how you use Happs.
2.1 Information provided by users
You may provide information when you create an account, update your profile, book tickets, contact support, or otherwise interact with Happs.
2.2 Account information
This may include your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), optional phone number if you choose to add one to your profile, and profile details you choose to provide.
2.3 Google OAuth information
If you choose to sign in with Google, we may receive information from Google such as your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture, subject to your Google account settings and Google’s policies. We use this information to create or authenticate your Happs account.
2.4 Event, ticket, and booking information
When you browse or book events, we may process event preferences, booking details, ticket quantity, ticket type, booking references, ticket status (for example registered or checked in), and related transaction metadata needed to deliver your ticket.
2.5 Payment information
Payments on Happs may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Razorpay. Happs does not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking login credentials. Payment details are handled by the payment processor according to their applicable policies and security practices. We may receive limited payment-related information such as payment status, order identifiers, payment identifiers, amount, currency, and timestamps needed for booking confirmation, support, and reconciliation.
2.6 Device and technical information
We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from network data, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. We may also generate request identifiers used for logging, debugging, and security.
2.7 Cookies and similar technologies
Happs may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as selected city), and improve site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.

3.1 Event and ticket management
Booking and ticket data is used so you can access your tickets, and so organizers or authorized staff can verify attendance (for example via QR check-in) where applicable.
3.2 Payment processing
Payment-related data is used to initiate checkout, verify successful payments, confirm bookings, handle failed or duplicate payment investigations, and process eligible refunds through the payment gateway.

We use account and booking details to respond to support requests you send us, including at support@happs.in.

We may use logs, authentication data, and technical signals to protect accounts, detect abuse, and keep the platform reliable.

4.1 Event organizers and venues
When you book an event, relevant attendee and ticket information may be shared with the event organizer and, where needed, venue staff so they can manage entry, capacity, and event operations.
4.2 Payment gateway providers
Payment processing may involve providers such as Razorpay. Their handling of payment data is governed by their own privacy and security policies.
4.3 Service providers
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, analytics, or similar infrastructure. They are expected to process information only as needed to provide services to us.
4.4 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Happs, our users, or others.

We retain account, booking, and related records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal or accounting requirements, and maintain security. Retention periods may vary by data type and legal obligation.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted transport where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Account deletion
If you want your account deleted, contact support. We may retain certain information where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes (for example completed booking records).

Happs is not directed at children under 18. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take suitable action.
